Our sidecar-to-ledger approach moves the proof to a decentralized public smart contract, making the chain of custody truly immutable

In traditional DD/DMG workflows, the hash and metadata live in a separate .txt or .xml file. If that file is renamed, deleted, or separated from the image during transfer, the image loses its "identity" and proof of integrity.
SOLUTION: The LLSmartVerify Framework makes this disadvantage irrelevant. Because the metadata is anchored to a Public Ledger, the "sidecar" is essentially the entire Blockchain. Even if the local text file is lost, the portal can re-verify the image using the raw bitstream hash.

Some older forensic tools (and older judges/attorneys) expect an E01. They see it as the "Gold Standard." Using DMG/DD+Sidecar requires you to explain why you didn't use the standard.

By anchoring the acquisition metadata to a Public Ledger at the moment of capture, we eliminate the 'Editable Log' vulnerability. We don't ask you to trust our text files; we provide a smart contract that proves the evidence's state, time, and location—permanently and immutably.

E01 and AFF4 files use internal "Block CRCs." If a single bit of data flips due to a bad hard drive or a network glitch, an E01 can tell you exactly where the corruption happened. A Raw DD or DMG cannot; you only find out the image is "bad" when the final hash fails at the end of the verification.
SOLUTION: While you don't have block-level CRCs inside a DMG or DD, LLIMAGER's Mobile Companion App captures environmental corroboration (e.g. GPS, Time) that E01s don't have. Trading internal "bit-flip" detection for external "chain-of-custody" certainty.
